Information / Data Models will play a key role in establishing a model-driven NFV service environment. Since realization of NFV-enabling platforms is substantially driven by Open Source communities today, SDOs and Open Source communities should seek alignment on the models that are or will be implemented in Open Source. This effort requires establishing a baseline for the current state of alignment, processes and tools for assessing models, and collaborative engagement of SDOs and Open Source to promote alignment. This talk will summarize the current state of standardized models, as well as the current defacto models derived from Open Source. A demonstration will be provided for the tools and processes used in this effort. The talk will finish with a draft summary of the findings so far on key gaps between standardized and Open Source models, and plans to address them.
