Project Atrium: SDN Based Routing & Fabric Solutions - Saurav Das

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Project Atrium is ONF's open source SDN distribution, a vertically integrated set of open source components which together form a complete SDN stack. It’s goals are threefold: 1) Close the large integration-gap of the elements that are needed to build an SDN stack; 2) Overcome a massive gap in interoperability; 3) Work closely with network operators on deployable use-cases, so that they could download near production quality code from one location, and get started with functioning software defined networks easily.

This presentation discusses the second Atrium release which focuses on open-source BGP speaking routers built with ODL and ONOS on a variety of vendor switching hardware (NoviFlow, Extreme etc.). We also introduce an open-source datacenter leaf-spine L2/L3 Clos Fabric built using SDN principles, on white-box hardware (EdgeCore) and software from OCP and Broadcom.
