This tutorial will demonstrate on how to get started developing apps for ONOS - an open-source platform for developing resilient network control applications. The tutorial will cover the basic theory of operation of the ONOS distributed application subsystem, and also include live demonstrations of how to use the ONOS Maven archetypes to get started developing applications in minutes. The tutorial will highlight some key features of ONOS toolkit and will illustrate the typical code/build/test cycle essential for productive developer work-flow. The tutorial will also demonstrate some of the tools available for debugging applications on ONOS.
