Recep Ozdag is a Senior Director of Solutions Marketing within Ciena’s Blue Planet division. In this role, Recep is responsible for go-to-market strategy for Ciena’s SDN and NFV Platform, Blue Planet. Recep recently joined Ciena through the Cyan acquisition, where he was responsible for the company’s go-to-market strategy around Cyan’s SDN/NFV Orchestration software solutions.
Prior to joining Cyan, Recep was in product marketing for the Communications and Storage Infrastructure Group (CSIG) at Intel. He lead Intel’s SDN switch and router marketing efforts as well as launched Intel’s SDN and NFV initiative; the Open Network Platform. He has been a frequent speaker at industry events as well as an avid blogger on the Intel communities web site.
Recep Ozdag has received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and his MBA from the University of California Los Angeles. Recep is also part of the faculty within the engineering department at USC, where he occasionally teaches graduate level courses. He is also an accomplished writer having co-authored the book titled “A Designer’s Guide to Asynchronous VLSI”.
