Saurav Das was part of the original team at Stanford that made SDN popular. His pioneering research on converged IP/MPLS/Optical WANs, architecturally based on SDN and OpenFlow, generated great interest in the industry among vendors and operators alike. He currently serves as the Principal System Architect at the ONF, where he leads open-source projects like ATRIUM, CORD and SPRING-OPEN that build SDN/NFV solutions on white-box routers. His past experience includes several years in the networking industry at Big Switch Networks and Enablence. He holds an MS from the University of Arizona and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
